Driven by an insatiable curiosity, New York designer Peter D'Ascoli has been travelling the world studying decorative arts for decades. Trained in textile design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, his early craft work for the Indian government led to a lifelong love for the art and culture of this ancient civilization. This craft experience was complemented by years of work with major fashion brands in the United States.
In 2006, D'Ascoli founded Talianna Studio in New Delhi: a design and product development studio, creating luxury fabrics for interior design. The initial concept, made from simple Indian handlooms, was taken to a new level of creativity when the company brought printing in-house. The results showcase the company's unique aesthetic and technical expertise and its truly original vision.
