Alhambra series by Franz Schmoranz und Moritz Knaab is one of the most beautiful Lobmeyr series from the 19th century. It’s Inspiration are abstract animal drawings ofthe famous “Jarra” vase at Alhambra palace in Granada. The enamel painted friezes with animals in particular seem to be of timeless beauty and now have been realised in a series of 6 tumblers again. The shape of the tumbler is modelled after Arabian originals.
